Description
The refinement and expression of a Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru wine
The Estate
The Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded in 1999, the result of the Boisset family's desire to unify the prestigious parcels acquired since 1964. Distributed among Premiers Crus, Grands Crus and Monopoles, these lands shaped an estate with a strong identity, driven by precise, life-respecting viticulture. Each Vougeraie-signed wine bears witness to a pursuit of harmony, purity and faithful expression of the Burgundian climats.
The Vineyard
The estate now cultivates 34 hectares of vines, divided into 67 meticulously tended plots. This patchwork of parcels forms the foundation of a craftsman's work, where each of its Bourgogne terroirs receives individual attention.
The Wine
This Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru «Clos de la Chapelle» comes from the Morgeot climat, near an old chapel from which it takes its name. A Monopole of the estate, this iconic clos of the Côte de Beaune is farmed biodynamically. Heir to a Cistercian tradition, it embodies a rare balance between historical rigor and mineral brightness.
Blend
This Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru «Clos de la Chapelle» Monopole 2023 from the Domaine de la Vougeraie is made exclusively from Chardonnay.
