An elegant and mineral Saint-Péray from the Northern Rhône Valley
The estate
Officially founded in 1996 by Stéphane Robert in the Rhône Valley, Domaine du Tunnel now spans 12 hectares between Saint-Péray, Cornas and Saint-Joseph. Stéphane Robert and his wife Sandrine manage this estate in the Ardèche on the right bank of the Rhône. Since 2014, the estate has distinguished itself with its aging cellar, established in an old railway tunnel, offering exceptional natural conditions. Domaine du Tunnel cultivates Syrah, Marsanne and Roussanne without herbicides, favors manual harvesting and plot-by-plot vinification, producing wines of remarkable mineral purity that combine controlled power, freshness and elegance, serving as a faithful expression of the granite soils of the Northern Rhône Valley.
The vineyard
The Cuvée Prestige stems from a blend of several plots in the Saint-Péray appellation. The Marsanne and Roussanne vines thrive on this terroir on the right bank of the Rhône, benefiting from conditions conducive to the production of exceptional white wines.
Winemaking and aging
The Cuvée Prestige 2023 is carefully vinified, with alcoholic fermentation beginning in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 10 months in barrels, allowing it to develop complexity and structure while preserving the freshness of the fruit.
Blend
This Rhône Valley cuvée comprises 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne.
