The estate
Founded in 1850, the Domaine Laroche is a pillar of viticulture in Burgundy, rooted in the history of Chablis. With 90 hectares of vineyards, including plots in premier and grand crus, it stands out for its commitment to quality and terroir. The Obédiencerie, a former medieval monastery, bears witness to its rich heritage, housing the relics of Saint-Martin. Under the direction of Clément Renaud and Romain Chevrolat, the estate combines tradition and innovation, favoring a winemaking process that respects the natural expression of the soils.
The vineyard
"Mont de Milieu" comes from an exceptional terroir located on a hill that once marked the border between Burgundy and Champagne. This steep slope benefits from an ideal exposure on the right bank of the Serein, in the immediate vicinity of the Grand Crus of Chablis. The soils, composed of Kimmeridgian limestone marls rich in marine fossils, give the wine its characteristic minerality.
