Domaine Faiveley : Clos de Vougeot Grand cru 2013

Red-fruited, relatively light aroma, a little dusty, then more spicy depth on the palate. Rounded, smoothed tannins, with what seems like lower acidity than is typical for the vintage, though it is not lacking. Gevrey Clos des Issarts seems much better value. (JH)

Finer and more texturally harmonious than many, with a bouquet of very pure breeding, aristocratic tannins, a discreet yet wonderful wine. Let it open up in the glass for at least an hour.
