Description
Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Pucelle Monopole 2015 from Jean Chartron : a white wine
The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Pucelle of Jean Chartron comes from a monopole owned by the Chartron family since 1917. This 100% Chardonnay produced in the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru appellation comes from vines planted on clay-limestone soils. The must ferments in oak barrels (30% new and 70% 1 to 5 years old). The resulting wine is then aged for 12 months in barrels and finished in vats for four months.
At the tasting, the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Pucelle Monopole 2015 from Jean Chartron develops a harmonious bouquet of floral fragrances (lily, lily of the valley). The attack is full on the palate, and the wine is marked by a beautiful fruity volume and a very nice length. This Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Pucelle Monopole 2015 is to be consumed preferably before 2021.
This comment is intended to describe the general profile of the wine at one given moment. Note that over time, the wine (which inevitably evolves in the bottle) may develop other organoleptic qualities.
