Description
La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet, made from the youngest vines of the Sociando-Mallet property, has got the pleasant name of a dragonfly living in Haut-Médoc. The second wine of the estate is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet 2008 comes from the youngest plots of the property, which are situated on a clayey terroir. Compared to Château Sociando-Mallet, la Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet is less deep and shows straightness and a fruity and round personality. This wine offers an intense purple and ruby colour. In the nose, the suave and gourmet red fruit aromas are dominated by notes of strawberry, raspberry and black cherry. The style is creamy and the tannins are round. This 2008 vintage has a great volume and a nice longevity in the mouth.
