Vineyard
Since the 12th century, Clos Vougeot, formerly owned by the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux, has been dedicated to vine cultivation. Today, Clos Vougeot wines represent the largest Grand Cru appellation in Burgundy, with 52 hectares of vines and 80 different owners.
Vinification and aging
100% malolactic fermentation in open vats, followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 10 to 12 months.
