The solar power of an exceptional vintage

From an exceptional terroir and recognized among the greatest wines of the Northern Rhône Valley whose reputation goes beyond the borders, De L'Orée is produced in a white wine appellation in Hermitage on one of the most prestigious parcel selections of the great M. Chapoutier House.

Born at the dawn of a 2015 vintage, L'Orée 2015 reveals all the power of the exceptional terroir that gave birth to it. From a vineyard site called Les Murets, this is sublime terroir for whites in Hermitage. On these fluvio-glacial alluvium soils, the Marsanne old vines give low yields of grapes of exceptional quality.

Class, elegance, and purity describe this prodigious De L'Orée Hermitage White 2015. With its golden yellow colour with shimmering reflections, the colour density is typical of Marsanne. The intense fruity notes and ripe citrus of the aromatic bouquet seduces by its complexity and refinement. It is all enhanced by the freshness of floral notes. In a greedy and fleshy attack, De L'Orée 2015 evolves with grace and freshness by revealing all the character of its terroir. The mid-palate retains its mellowness by displaying exquisite spicy notes with toasty flavours. With freshness and elegance, the finish stretches to give a deliciously persistent length.

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
Of the three sélection parcellaire whites, the 2015 Ermitage de l'Orée is the most fresh and lively, with full-bodied richness and depth in its pineapple, mint, tropical fruits, toasted bread, brioche and liquid rock-styled aromas and flavors. It has good acidity, a stacked mid-palate and one seriously long finish.
