The property

Founded in 1958 by the priest of the village of Barbaresco, Produttori del Barbaresco is certainly the most prestigious agricultural cooperative in the world. It stands out for its uncompromising qualitative approach, rivaling the best independent producers in the region. The cooperative brings together 53 winegrowers over 100 hectares, with a demand for quality and rigorous yield management. Its commitment is based on three key principles: the exclusive use of the Barbaresco nebbiolo grape variety, the obligation for each member to deliver the entirety of their harvest to ensure qualitative homogeneity, and remuneration based on the quality of the grapes rather than the volume produced.

The vineyard

The Pora vineyard, from which this Barbaresco comes, extends over 10 hectares with a south and southwest exposure ideal for nebbiolo. The soils are composed of limestone and limy limestone with sandy veins, giving the wine its characteristic minerality and elegant structure.
