Description
The elegance of a gourmand and fresh red Grand Vin of Pauillac
A vintage of challenges and extremes, 2018 will undoubtedly be remembered at the magnificent Pauillac property located on the left bank of Bordeaux - Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande.
The Second Wine of the prestigious Second Grand Cru Classé of Pauillac, the La Réserve de la Comtesse 2018 is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Merlot (42%), Petit Verdot (4%) and Cabernet Franc (1%). The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels (40% new oak).
At the tasting, the La Réserve de la Comtesse 2018 seduces with its captivating aromatic bouquet, evolving notes of ripe black fruits. Peppery and minty notes bring a nice freshness. On the palate, the wine evolves great flexibility and generosity, revealing very tasty fruit of great aromatic purity. The perfectly melted tannins endow the wine with an elegant and refined structure, presenting a beautiful frame. With great elegance and persistence, the wine stretches long into the finish. A Pauillac Grand Vin signed Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in an exceptional vintage.
