The Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion appellation covers a total area of 200 hectares. It is located near the La Barbanne River and enclosed by the Saint-Emilion, Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux, Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion and Montagne-Saint-Emilion appellations. The red wines produced in Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion are grown on clay and limestone. The grape varieties planted are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (majority). These wines are distinguished by their power, strong character and extremely well-structured tannins.
