A Champagne from the Vallée du Petit Morin with a distinctive character
The Estate
Founded in 1949 by Albert Bergère, the André Bergère House now manages vineyards spread across the Vallée du Petit Morin, the Côte des Blancs and the Sézannais. Adrien Bergère, a fourth-generation oenologist, manages the vinification alongside his sister Annaëlle. Since 2014, the introduction of plot-by-plot vinification and aging in wood has marked a qualitative turning point for this family Champagne house.
The Vineyard
This cuvée comes from three Champagne terroirs located in the Vallée du Petit Morin: Fèrebrianges, Etoges and Congy. The vines thrive on clay-limestone soils, which give the wine its structure and minerality. Vineyard management focuses on nature-friendly viticulture with strict control of vine vigor to promote the authentic expression of the terroir.
Vinification and Aging
The Millésimé Extra Brut 2015 is vinified in stainless steel tanks, a method that preserves the wine's aromatic purity and freshness. This approach allows the expression of the terroir and the grapes harvested in this vintage to be precisely revealed.
Grape Varieties
This 2015 vintage champagne comprises 50% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier and 10% Pinot Noir, a blend that reflects the typicality of the Vallée du Petit Morin.
