Description
The richness and refinement of a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé
The estate
Château Beauséjour Héritiers Duffau-Lagarrosse has been renowned since the origins of the the Saint-Émilion classification. A family property since 1847, this Premier Grand Cru Classé from the famous appellation located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank was acquired in April 2021 by the Courtin-Clarins family, with Joséphine Duffau-Lagarosse as estate manager.
The vineyard
This jewel of an estate oversees a terroir of nearly 6 hectares. These old vines are planted on a mosaic of terroirs made up of clay-limestone soils on on asteriated limestone give rise to a great Saint-Emilion wine. With its roots placed on the hillside of the medieval city, the vineyard is managed according to traditional methods and most often by hand.
