Description
The balance and aromatic finesse of a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
The estate
The origins of Château Brun date back to the 16th century. Since then, the family estate has been handed down from generation to generation, thus ensuring the continuity of a traditional know-how in its purest expression. This age-old tradition is at the origin of a Grand Cru in the Saint-Émilion appellation.
The vineyard
Château Brun 2022 is a Saint-Émilion wine made from a vineyard of almost 9 hectares located on the slopes of a hill to the north-west of the appellation. The vines are 30 years old on average and are planted in a single vineyard on a clay-limestone soil facing south. Château Brun is planted with Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted, destemmed and vinified in thermo-regulated concrete vats. Vatting time of 18 to 20 days. Racking. The wine is aged for 18 months.
