Château Corbin Michotte 2019

Blackberry and plum aromas with some tree-bark and earthy notes, leading to a full-bodied palate with chewy, slightly austere tannins and crushed-stone and berry character on the finish, along with slightly toasted oak. Needs time to come together. Try after 2025.

The 2019 Corbin Michotte has a pretty black currant and raspberry bouquet with touches of peony and violet. The medium-bodied, fleshy palate offers supple tannins, fine acidity and touches of brown spice on the finish. Fine.

With a floral, savory, earthy edge to the red fruits on the nose and palate, the wine is medium-bodied, and focused on its ripe, vibrant red-berry core of fruit. The finish is light, yet soft, clean, and fresh. You can enjoy this on release. Drink from 2022–2032.

Dark purple core and hue. Aromatically the fruit is dominating, fruit on the darker side with cassis, blackberry and some oak/butterscotch/coffee in the background. Nice density on the palate, finely rounded with young and grainy tannin, well-integrated oak, savoury dark fruit, fine spiciness and a long warm finish.

Outstanding stuff, the 2019 Château Corbin Michotte offers up a complex bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, tobacco, and cedary oak. This carries to a medium-bodied, balanced, elegant 2019 with a great mid-palate, plenty of fruit, and outstanding length. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 8-10 years.

Floral notes and spicy nuances. On the palate, the wine is fresh, slender, and well supported by its tannins. A balanced, fruity wine that nevertheless still needs to gain in openness and suppleness on the finish.

Dark, intense, and vibrant color. Moderately aromatic nose, fruity, with an original note of blackcurrant for Saint-Emilion. Caressing on the attack, juicy mid-palate, flavorful and well-built, the wine finishes with no hard edges, very pleasant, with a normal length.
