The 2012 vintage is straw colored. Its nose displays lovely aromatic notes of lemons and limes, along with very ripe white fruits: peach, nectarine, and pear. The palate is round and smooth. The aromatic palate displays a great finesse and has a lot of elegance brought forth by aromas of exotic fruits and hints of sweet spices (mild spices and nutmeg). An enjoyable length on the palate, the wine's liveliness exemplifies a vintage that will be remembered for its freshness. Thanks to the cool terroir of Barsac, Château Coutet's distinct vivacity is preserved.

The 2010 Coutet, a blend of 75% Sémillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle, is pale lemon-gold in color with a nose that explodes with decadent pineapple, mango and lemon meringue pie notes with touches of acacia honey, candle wax and yuzu. Full-on opulent in the mouth, the palate sings with concentrated citrus and tropical fruit layers, finishing long and honeyed. This has 160 grams per liter of residual sugar.
