Description
Latour-Martillac Red 2016: a remarkable and balanced Pessac-Léognan
A Grand Cru Classé of Graves produced in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the Château Latour-Martillac red comes from a 40-hectare vineyard located on the plateau above Martillac and planted on Günzienne gravel from the Quaternary. The château Latour-Martillac red is aged in barrels, 40% of which are new barrels. The 2016 vintage is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot. These grape varieties were collected between the 23rd of September and 21st of October.
The Château Latour-Martillac Red 2016 displays a deep red colour. The nose develops intense aromas of red fruits and fresh, juicy black fruits. The Château Latour-Martillac Red 2016 reveals a beautiful balance, with tannins combining power and softness, while revealing themselves to be well-rounded and smooth.
