2018 was a great year at Château Le Prieuré, a Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, located on the right bank of Bordeaux. The vineyards of this historic property date back to the sixteenth century.

After the rainy weather of winter and spring, a beautiful summer allowed for a harvest under excellent conditions. Due to the particularity of the clay and limestone soils of Saint-Émilion, the Château Le Prieuré vineyard was spared by the water stress, resulting in grapes with fantastic alcoholic potential, phenolic richness, and a balanced acidity.

Made from a blend of Merlot (64%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (36%), the Château Le Prieuré 2018 presents all the wealth and delicacy of an elegant Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé. The nose seduces with its intense aromatic expression, notes of black berries and liquorice. On the palate, the wine evolves a supple texture, along with a great power and elegance that stretch into a fresh finish.
