The estate

Located in the heart of the Mâconnais, the Domaine Cordier Père et Fils embodies a subtle balance between heritage and modernity. Under the impetus of Christophe Cordier, the family property perpetuates a demanding viticultural tradition, where each cuvée reflects the respect for the terroir and the precision of the gesture. "The terroir is nothing without the will of man": this philosophy guides each step of the vineyard work, in a constant quest for excellence.

Raised among the vine rows, Christophe Cordier developed a particular sensitivity to wine at a very early age, conceiving it above all as a sensory and emotional experience. His total commitment is reflected in an extreme attention to every detail, with a strong desire to magnify the fruit. Because it is in the purity of the grape that the greatness of a wine is born.

The vineyard

The estate's vineyard extends around the charming village of Fuissé. It covers 30 hectares spread over more than 100 plots, nestled in 8 Burgundian villages. This diversity of soils and exposures composes a real geological mosaic, offering the chardonnay the opportunity to reveal all the subtlety of its expressions depending on the terroir.

The wine

The "Jean Gustave" cuvée is a Pouilly-Fuissé wine from a small exceptional vineyard of 0.40 hectare located in Fuissé, in the place called Vers Cras. About 85 years old, the vines draw their richness from clay-limestone soils.

Vinification and aging

The harvest, not destemmed, undergoes a gentle pressing, before being barreled by gravity. Fermentations take place naturally for 2 months.
