Description
A lively and intense white Burgundy 1er cru
The estate
The Domaine du Cellier aux Moines was founded in 1130 by the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of la Ferté. These monks were the first to build the famous Clos de Bourgogne. Since 2004, the Pascal family has successfully undertaken to restore and revitalize the estate with a biodynamic conversion completed.
The vineyard
The cuvée Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru "Les Pucelles" 2019 comes from a small 27-are parcel exposed southeast in the eponymous commune, in the former Clos des Meix. The 50-year-old vines are cultivated between 205 and 207 meters altitude on very fine clay-limestone soils. The vineyard has been managed biodynamically since 2017.
Grape variety
100 % chardonnay.
