The estate
The Domaine Laporte, founded in 1850, has been stewarded by two emblematic Sancerre families: the Laporte family, followed by the Bourgeois family, which acquired the estate in 1986. Thanks to their know-how passed down from generation to generation, each vintage is brought to its fullest expression. Certified in organic farming since 2013, the estate practices parcel-by-parcel vinification, allowing it to offer a renowned range of Loire wines, recognized both in France and internationally for their high quality.
The vineyard
"Les Garennes" is a Sancerre wine from a two-hectare parcel located in the commune of Vinon, southwest-facing, where the vines are planted on a clay-limestone soil scattered with numerous stones.
Winemaking and aging
After the harvest, the grapes are slowly pressed to ensure a delicate extraction. Only the first juices are selected for the production of this cuvée. This white Sancerre wine is then aged for nine months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, thus preserving its freshness and complexity.
Grape variety
100% Sauvignon Blanc.
