The elegance and authentic expression of a great Alsace wine
The estate
Founded in 1612 by Capuchin monks, Domaine Weinbach is located in Kaysersberg. Acquired in 1898 by the Faller family, this vineyard now boasts a significant surface area of terroirs classified as Grand Cru in the region. Fully certified in organic and biodynamic farming, the estate is currently led by Catherine Faller, alongside her sons Éddy and Théo Leiber-Faller. The estate stands out for its philosophy of minimal intervention, seeking to express the pure identity of its terroirs.
The vineyard
The grapes used for this cuvée come from specific plots called "Terres du Prince", located in Alsace. These vines are cultivated according to the rigorous principles of biodynamics, respecting ecological balance and the soils, in order to foster the natural and authentic expression of the terroir.
Vinification and ageing
The estate's philosophy is based on minimal intervention. For Pinot Noir "Terres du Prince" 2023, vinification aims to reveal the identity of the plot without artifice. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels over a period of 12 to 18 months. The use of new wood is moderate, accounting for around 30% of the containers, with the remainder being older barrels in order to preserve the fruity character and elegance of the wine.
