The estate

Committed to traditional viticultural practices that respect the terroir and the environment, Famille Perrin has become a benchmark among fine Rhône Valley wines over the years. A pioneer in the innovative approach to organic farming since 1950 and then biodynamic methods in 1974, the Perrin family produces fine wines that are renowned worldwide for their quality and refinement.

The wine

A pure and refined expression of Côtes du Rhône wines, Réserve by the Famille Perrin is made from two great Rhône terroirs. On the one hand, the vineyards of Prébois, with stony soils resting on clay, limestone and gravel, and on the other hand the vineyards of Vinsobres, with terraces resting on quartz and marly limestone-rich soils.

The vintage

The early budburst at the beginning of April preceded a gradual and even flowering period. The particularly hot summer at the end of June had little impact on the vineyard, thanks to the rigorous attention of the estate's teams. The grapes are harvested at the right time and showcase a fine quality.

Winemaking and ageing

Rigorous sorting and destemming preceded fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Extraction by pumping over. Devatting and malolactic fermentation. Aged for one year in wooden and stainless steel vats.

Tasting

Colour
A beautiful red colour with subtle purple hues.

Nose
The delicate nose exudes fruity and slightly peppery fragrances.

Palate
The palate reveals utterly fine fruity aromas (cherry, blackcurrant), silky tannins and a perfect balance. The finish is elegant and aromatic.

Service

For an ideal tasting, serve at 18°C.
