Ferraton Père & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Parvis is mainly made of Grenache, mixed with some Syrah and Mourvèdre. These grape varietals grow on round pebble terraces. The 2010 Parvis robe is bright and intense, with a garnet red colour. The nose is complex, with aromas of Morello cherry, plum, toasted coffee and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, the tannins are fine and silky. The wine is fleshy and lingering. The 2010 Parvis finish coats the palate with leather, spices and aromas of garrigue.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The outstanding 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Parvis (a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah) exhibits a dense ruby/color along with plenty of roasted herb, black cherry, lavender and underbrush characteristics. This peppery, spicy, medium to full-bodied, juicy red should be consumed over the next decade.
