Checking in as 82% Syrah, 14% Mourvedre and 4% Grenache, the 2013 Nemesis Syrah has lots of blackcurrants and blackberry fruit, caramelized meats, smoked earth and licorice aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and lively, it's slightly mid-weight and forward through the middle, yet has exceptional purity and overall balance. If it puts on some weight with time in bottle the score will be low.
