Macon-Lugny

Macon-Lugny image

Mâcon-Lugny is a Mâcon-Villages appellation shared between the Bissy-la-Maconnaise, Cruzille, Lugny and St-Gengoux-de-Scissé communes on a 750-hectare area. The Mâcon-Lugny vines benefit from a terroir consisting of varied clay-limestone soil with calcareous brown soil, siliceous soil, clay, sand and sometimes a mixture of sandstone with pebbles. The Mâcon-Lugny wines are characterized by their great minerality, as well as their suppleness, fatness and a splendid finish with tasty floral notes. They have a good ageing potential.
