A complex and beautifully balanced great wine from Alsace

The property

For more than 12 generations, the Maison Trimbach has been an emblematic reference among the greatest producers of Alsace wines. The balance between fruit, acidity and minerality is the guiding thread of the vinifications of all the cuvées of this family property recognized for its wines with a singular style that seduces the finest international gourmets with their high quality.

The vineyard

Located in the beautiful village of Ribeauvillé, in the heart of the Alsace Wine Route, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir both for its soils composed of sandstone, limestone, marl and clay and for its oceanic influences due to the presence of the Vosges massif nearby. Maison Trimbach oversees a vineyard of 50 hectares spread over more than 50 plots and 9 villages.

The vintage

The month of October, marked by morning fogs followed by sunny afternoons, provided ideal conditions for the development of noble rot, reminiscent of the legendary 1967 vintage

The wine

Of extreme rarity because it is produced only in the best vintages, this Gewurztraminer from Maison Trimbach is an Alsace wine made from exclusively hand-picked berries enriched in sugar by the action of noble rot due to botrytis.

The number of grams of residual sugar for this 2021 vintage is 97 g/l.

Blend

Gerwuztraminer (100%).
