Château Siaurac Wines : Key Points

Situated on the extension of the famous Pomerol plateau in Néac, Château Siaurac is the largest estate in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, with 46 hectares of vines and 15 hectares of parkland.

The origins of Château Siaurac trace back to 1832 when it was acquired by Pierre Brisson, a Libourne notary and town councillor in Saint-Émilion. Since 2004, Paul Goldschmidt and Aline Guichard have managed the historic estate, but in 2014 the Artémis Domaines group became co-manager with the ambition of developing its potential. To this end, the estate's team has been strengthened by the appointment of Pénélope Godefroy, from Château Latour, as Technical Director, and of consultant oenologist Jean-Claude Berrouet, formerly oenologist at Pétrus. Major changes have been made to the management of the vineyards, which are now farmed organically and biodynamically, and to the cellars, which are being renovated. Since the end of 2017, Artémis Domaines has been the exclusive manager of Château Siaurac, with Frédéric Engerer at the helm.

The terroir of Château Siaurac is spread across 40 plots with soils composed of gravel, deep clay or clayey sand. The grape varieties are mainly Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
