Two Hands : Coach House Block Shiraz 2022

The 2022 Coach House Block Seppeltsfield Road Greenock Shiraz is polished and inky, with dark tannins underpinning the current of dark fruit. It is fresh, but it’s no wallflower in its delivery of punchy fruit and toasty oak. Everything feels nicely within range here, and I like it. Black and blue, graphite, asphalt, ozone—there’s a nice “concrete-feeling” purity here. 14.3% alcohol, sealed under Diam.

The richly endowed 2022 Shiraz Coach House Block is packed with waves of powerful fruit aromas, with cocoa, blackberry and satsuma plum well matched to new oak. Then, it fills the mouth with a dense core of flavor and a base of chewy tannins. The 2022 is quite classic and will certainly reward time in the cellar.
