The estate
A First Classified Growth of Saint-Émilion, Château Valandraud shines bright among the most beautiful estates of the appellation. Showing remarkable quality for price, the Virginie de Valandraud cuvée is made from a selection of younger vines from the estate.
The vineyard
Produced in the Bordeaux Blancs Secs appellation, the Virginie de Valandraud Blanc 2020 is made from a 2.5 hectare vineyard. Aged 20 years on average, the vines are planted in a clay-limestone soil.
Vinification and ageing
Manual harvest (3 sortings) followed by storage in a cold room before pressing. Ageing lasts 9 months in third-fill barrels and stainless steel vats.
The blend
The Virginie de Valandraud Blanc 2020 is made from a blend of Sémillon (50%), Sauvignon Blanc (40%) and Sauvignon Gris (10%).
