Description

The elegance and freshness of a Tuscan red wine

The estate

A family-run estate, Castello Banfi has become a benchmark among Tuscan wines over the years. Renowned for its great Italian wines, the Banfi family pays meticulous attention to its vineyards, as demonstrated by the research carried out since 1982 on the cloning of the Sangiovese grape variety in order to produce exceptional wines.

The vineyard

Castello Banfi's Poggio all'Oro Riserva is a Tuscan wine made from vineyards planted on soils composed of brown silty clay sediments and limestone stones and pebbles that ensure optimum drainage. It has been produced since 1985 only in great vintages.

Winemaking and ageing

Vinification for 12 to 14 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel and wooden vats. Aged for 30 months in barrels. This Brunello Montalcino wine is then aged in bottle for 12 to 18 months.
