Since its creation in 1818 by the spouses Elisabeth Salmon and Nicolas-François Billecart, the Billecart-Salmon Champagne House has remained independent, preserving all of its know-how and the high quality of its vintages for 7 generations.
The Billecart-Salmon vineyard stretches from the Côte des Blancs to the Montagne de Reims and covers almost 100 hectares. The vines are cultivated and cared for in the traditional manner in order to get as close to the authentic fruit as possible and to reflect the quality of the Champagne region’s terroir.
The aromatic depth of this Grand Cru reflects the exceptional terroir of the Côte des Blancs. The typicality of this chalky soil is expressed during the tasting, through a perfect marriage between power, freshness and minerality.
Vinification and ageing
The wine is aged on its lees for 4 to 5 years in the estate's cellars. The dosage is 8g/L

The nose is delicious, with delicate aromas of dried fruit (almond, hazelnut) and white fleshy fruit.
The controlled complexity of the palate brilliantly brings out the wide range of aromas of the Chardonnay variety. A creamy attack with brioche notes is mixed with a beautiful tension. The balance is perfect between power and subtle mineral notes. The finish, marked by freshness, is persistent and elegant.

Based on the 2013 vintage, supplemented by some 30% of reserve wines, Billecart's latest NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of warm bread, citrus oil, crisp green apple, white flowers and crushed chalk. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and precise, with a pretty core of fruit, fine-boned structure and a nicely defined finish.
