The freshness and aromatic richness of a Brut champagne by Billecart-Salmon

The estate

Since its creation in 1818 by husband and wife, Elisabeth Salmon and Nicolas-François Billecart, the Billecart-Salmon Champagne House has remained independent, having preserved all of its know-how and demand for high-quality cuvées for 7 generations.

The vineyard

The Billecart-Salmon vineyard covers 100 hectares from the Côte des Blancs to the Reims mountain. The vines are cultivated and cared for in a traditional manner so that the wine resembles real fruit and to reflect the quality of its Champagne terroir.

Winemaking and ageing

Vinification in tanks. Malolactic fermentation. 50 to 60% use of reserve wines. Ageing on lees for 30 months. 8g/litre dosage.


Derived from the best terroirs, the Brut Réserve by the Billecart-Salmon House is the product of a blend of Chardonnay (30%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Meunier (40%).



The wine reveals subtle, light gold tints. The effervescence is delicate and persistent.


The nose mixes aromas of fresh fruit and ripe pear with a beautiful freshness.


A fresh and precise attack precedes a rich and aromatic palate.


Serve at 8°C for optimal tasting.

Based on the 2015 vintage and disgorged with nine grams per liter dosage, the latest release of Billecart's NV Brut Réserve contains fully 55% reserve wines and is showing very well, offering up complex aromas of warm bread, crisp green orchard fruit and citrus oil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and charming but lively, with an elegantly textural attack, a fleshy core of fruit and lively balancing acids.
