The estate
Founded in 1808, Maison de Champagne Henriot has passionately and meticulously cultivated Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs for 8 generations, this noble grape variety which would go on to define the style of each Henriot cuvée. Champagne highly prized at the Dutch Court, Henriot would later become a benchmark among the European aristocracy. Benefiting from an aging period and a quantity of reserve wines unique to each cuvée, Henriot champagnes stand out for their finesse, exceptional elegance, complexity, and radiant richness.
The vineyard
Covering an area of 35 hectares, Maison Henriot's champagnes are partly sourced from the finest terroirs in Champagne, including the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.
The wine
Created by the 8th generation of the family, this cuvée reveals the singularity of an illustrious Champagne terroir, the Grand Cru of Avize. Located on the Côte des Blancs hillside, the Avize vineyard benefits from soils where chalk is covered by clay and hard limestone from the Tertiary period.
Vinification and aging
This champagne Blanc de Blancs is aged in the Maison's underground cellars for at least 4 years.
