Description
Characteristics and tasting advice for Jacquesson's Dizy Terres Rouges 2015
Tasting
Ideally balanced, this vintage captivates with its generosity and elegance.
An ample and expressive vintage champagne
The property
Located in Dizy in the Marne Valley, the Champagne Jacquesson House, founded in 1798, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, two passionate brothers, produce exceptional cuvées through their parcel approach and their unique philosophy of vinification and aging, expressing the unique character and richness of these very great terroirs of 28 hectares of chalk.
With its numbered cuvées recognized for their finesse, their aerial purity and their exceptional aging potential, Jacquesson is part of the elite of the great names of Champagne.
The wine
The cuvée Dizy Terres Rouges 2015 from Jacquesson comes from a Champagne vineyard of 1ha33, planted in 1993 at the bottom of a gently sloping hillside. Facing east, this terroir rests on deep limestone and brown red soils on chalky loam.
The vintage
A mild and rainy winter and spring precede a hot and dry summer, before a late season whose alternation of coolness and dry heat is ideal for ensuring a homogeneous maturity of the berries.
Vinification and aging
Vinification and aging in foudres on lees without filtration or fining. No dosage.
Blend
This 2015 vintage champagne is a 100% chardonnay.
