The refinement and aromatic structure of a gastronomic champagne by Pommery
The estate
The Champagne Pommery House, founded in 1858, earned its reputation thanks to the audacity and vision of Madame Pommery, who took over the estate after her husband's passing. Determined to produce unique cuvées, she focused on the exceptional quality of the grapes and the development of a remarkable vineyard in Champagne. Owned by the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group, Pommery cuvées stand out for their finesse, liveliness, and an aromatic richness that is both elegant and complex.
The vineyard
Created as a confidential cuvée dedicated to gastronomy, Apanage Brut 1874 is crafted from grapes sourced from the finest Champagne terroirs: the Côte des Blancs from Cramant to Bergères-les-Vertus, the Montagne de Reims from Bouzy to Ecueil via Verzenay, the Grande Vallée de la Marne from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ to Fleury-la-Rivière including Aÿ-Champagne, as well as the prestigious Clos Pompadour.
Winemaking and aging
Aged for 48 months in Pommery’s historic cellars, followed by a minimum of 4 months after disgorgement to perfect its aromatic development. The dosage of this Brut cuvée is 8 g/L.
Blend
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the finest origins, complemented by Meunier from the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne.
