Description
The estate
An emblematic reference among the finest Champagne references, the Veuve Clicquot Champagne house built its reputation thanks to one woman: Madame Clicquot. In just a few years and at the end of the 18th century, Madame Clicquot established herself as the "Great Lady of Champagne" and invented the riddling table while always boasting her motto: "Only one quality, the finest". The world-famous Veuve Clicquot Champagne House stands out due to its bottles, recognisable at first glance and adorned with a yellow label, with vintages of a vinous style.
The vineyard
Veuve Clicquot owns 390 hectares and is one of the largest vineyards in Champagne. This vineyard is also exceptional in its quality as it is spread over 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus of the Champagne region.
The wine
The Veuve Clicquot Champagne House reveals its SMEG Brut Carte Jaune case. The house’s signature champagne, the Brut Carte Jaune by Veuve Clicquot expresses the uniqueness of Veuve Clicquot’s style. With a dosage of 10 g/L, this non-vintage champagne is produced each year from the House's extensive collection of reserve wines. The House's iconic champagne is presented in a SMEG isothermal case which, like a mini refridgerator, keeps the bottle cool for 2 hours. This daring partnership highlights the creative spirit of Veuve Clicquot and the fresh, powerful and fruity expression of Brut Carte Jaune.
The blend
Veuve Clicquot’s Brut Carte Jaune comprises a blend of 30 to 45% reserve wines stemming from 50 to 60 different crus, including Premiers Crus and Grands Crus. The blend is composed of 50 to 55% Pinot Noir which povides a pleasant structure, 28 to 33% Chardonnay bringing elegance and finesse and 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier.
