Description
A fresh and fruity Saint-Emilion red wine
The Château La Mondotte is a red wine produced in the appellation of Saint-Emilion. It is made from a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and is aged for 18 months in new oak barrels.
The Château La Mondotte 2009 exudes splendid aromas of incense, mineral, liquorice, black cherry, blackberry, cedar and forest floor. On the palate, it shows an extraordinary richness and voluptuousness, and offers freshness from its mineral flavours and the large presence of the fruit. The tannins are extremely present but sweet and integrated. They balance perfectly with the acidity, alcohol and oak. Its exceptional ageing potential makes it possible to keep it beautifully until 2039-2045.
