Description
A fine red wine from Saint-Émilion by Château Laroze
The estate
The Meslin family, who currently own Château Laroze, are the direct descendants of the founders of the Laroze estate, which was established in 1882. This centuries-old affiliation has enabled Château Laroze to develop a unique identity in the heart of Saint-Émilion.
The vintage
After a mild autumn and a cool start to winter, temperatures rose and led to early budding. The cool and wet spring was followed by a hot and dry summer, leading to a homogeneous and rapid veraison. The day / night temperature differences helped develop the aromatic quality of the fruit, which reach perfect maturity in time for the harvest.
The ageing
Ageing in new French oak barrels (65%) and alphorae (8%).
The blend
Merlot
(60%), cabernet franc (30%), cabernet sauvignon (10%).
