Description
The aromatic palette and delicate nature of a Saint-Émilion wine by Château Laroze
The estate
The Meslin family, who currently own Château Laroze, are the direct descendants of the founders of the Laroze estate, which was established in 1882. This centuries-old affiliation has enabled Château Laroze to develop a unique identity in the heart of Saint-Émilion.
The vineyard
The Château Laroze vineyard covers 27 hectares. The vines, 25 years old on average, are planted in soils of silica on clay.
Vinification and ageing
The vinification was carried out in stainless steel tanks and thermoregulated concrete tanks. Ageing was carried out in new French oak barrels (50%), in vats (43%) and in amphorae (7%).
The blend
The Château Laroze 2020 was made from a blend of Merlot (68%), Cabernet Franc (24%), Cabernet Sauvignon (8%).
