Description

The complexity and depth of a great vintage from Château Margaux

In line with the very great vintages of the mythical First Grand Cru Classé, Château Margaux 2017 continues the tradition of the years that will mark the memories of the beautiful estate.

Endowed with a personality of its own and bearing the unmistakable imprint that makes the style of the Château Margaux, Château Margaux 2017 stands out from the generous 2015 vintage and the elegant 2016 by its depth and complexity.

The bottles of the Grand Vin of Château Margaux are now presented in their new packaging, sporting a darker colour. The writing on the labels is inspired by the font used by the estate in 1865. In the same way as the bottle presented for the 2015 vintage, the capsules of the Grand Vin have a matte dark brown colour. This modernisation of the presentation of the Grand Vin of Château Margaux also affects the packaging. The cases of 6 bottles are now made of radiata pine while the top of the case is stamped with the logo of Château Margaux.

Great grapes are born from great terroirs and the great wine of the estate triumphs once again over the climatic challenges posed by the 2017 vintage.

The Château Margaux 2017 blend reflects the beauty of each grape variety. The Cabernet Sauvignon (89%) forms the heart of the Grand Vin blend. The later harvested berries have allowed for beautifully ripe tannins. Endowed with a superb fruity aromatic expression, the Merlot (8%) displays a round and ample palate. The Cabernet Franc (2%) and Petit Verdot (1%) sign the final touches of the blend.

A model of power and finesse, Château Margaux 2017 presents this undeniable aromatic complexity and depth that are the prerogative of the greatest Margaux. A magnificent Margaux promised to a superb evolution in guard.
