Description
The balance and richness of a Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion
The estate
On the slopes of Bordeaux's Right Bank, the Château Troplong Mondot reigns as the flagship. Founded in 1700, this exceptional estate stands as one of the largest and most prestigious in Saint-Émilion. Its status as a Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion cements a long tradition of excellence and exacting standards.
The vineyard
At an altitude of 110 metres, the vines flourish on a remarkable clay-limestone terroir. This elevation, combined with the richness of the soil, ensures slow grape maturity and promotes the production of Saint-Émilion wines that are precise, balanced, and profound.
The grape varieties
Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
