The estate
On the right bank of Bordeaux, where most of estates do not exceed 10 hectares, Château Troplong Mondot boasts one of the largest estates in the Saint-Émilion appellation. Founded in 1700, the Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Troplong Mondot produces one of the most beloved wines of Saint-Émilion.

The vineyard is entirely managed using integrated viticultural practices. The vines are 30 years old on average and are cultivated on clay-limestone soils, a typical feature of the appellation.

Château Troplong Mondot 2010: Characteristics and tasting tips
The tasting
Colour
A beautiful garnet-red colour with a fine amber border.
Nose
The rich and complex nose blends fruity (black fruits) and mentholated fragrances with smoky and liquorice notes.
Palate
Powerful, concentrated and full-bodied, the palate is seduced by this wine’s full and velvety tannins that stretch to a long and generous finish. A great wine for ageing
