Description
2014 Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classe B
The 2014 Clos Fourtet seems restrained at first blush as superior vintages tend to be. However, agitation gradually reveals all the ingredients and intrinsic qualities of the wine. One must earn this Saint-Emilion! This Premier Grand Cru Classe B exudes fresh aromas, with intense black fruits, very present and mineral bringing freshness and tension. To the palate, the attack impresses with boldness -clear-cut acidity- followed by a combination of elegant sap and fine grains in the tannic structure. The 2014 Clos de Fourtet is juicy and perfectly balanced. Crafted to perfection, this reserved Saint-Emilion carries considerable aging potential.
