The vineyard
The Domaine du Château de Meursault’s 1er cru "Champ Canet" is a Puligny-Montrachet wine made from grapes grown on a 0.58-hectare plot at the top of the hillside. The vines face east and are planted in a particularly stony clay-limestone soil.
Winemaking and aging
After harvest, the grapes undergo manual sorting followed by pressing and settling. Alcoholic fermentation takes place over 15 days in barrels. The wine is then aged for 15 to 18 months.
