Domaine Vincent Pinard : Nuance 2019

The typicality of a Sancerre wine made with the utmost respect for nature

The estate

Located in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, in Bué, Domaine Vincent Pinard has been practicing viticulture for several centuries and jealously preserves a traditional approach. The 17-hectare vineyard is perched on the hills of Bué and benefits from a cultivation approach that is based on respecting both the environment and the biotope. That is to say, there is no use of chemical weed killers or any other related practices. Vincent Pinard favours little intervention, preferring to care and guide his vines in an intelligent manner in order to harvest only the best grapes. Driven by this philosophy and by respecting the plots, the wines by Vincent Pinard reveal all the nuances of their terroir.

The vineyard

Nuance 2019 is made from Sauvignon Blanc vines that are 40 years old on average and located in the Caillottes area of the village of Bué. The soil is influenced by the limestone typical of the Sancerrois region. The vineyard is cultivated organically, without insecticides or acaricides.

Vinification and ageing

Following manual harvesting, during which the grapes are sorted for the first time, the berries are then sorted on a vibrating sorting table. A pneumatic pressing is then carried out. The grapes are then fermented for 4 weeks. The wine is aged on its lees in vats and in barrels for one year.
