Description
The power and complexity of a great Pic Saint-Loup
Produced by the iconic Héritage du Pic Saint-Loup estate, the St. Agnès 2016 offers the experience of a great red wine from Languedoc, expressing the complex terroir of the Pic Saint Loup.
Made from a blend of Syrah (40%), Grenache (40%), Mourvèdre (10%) and Carignan (10%), the St Agnès 2016 pays homage to the diversity of the native grape varieties of Languedoc.
Produced in the Coteaux du Languedoc appellation, the St. Agnès 2016 cuvée from the Ermitage Pic Saint Loup estate transcribes in each glass the typicity of the appellation’s clay-limestone soils, white clay and hard limestone within hillsides. The St. Agnès 2016 vintage of Ermitage Pic Saint Loup is matured in foudre and oak barrels for a period between 12 and 14 months.
Bearing the signature of the talented Ravaille brothers, this great Languedoc red wine seduces with its aromatic complexity. Black fruit notes mingle with aromas of cocoa, leather and spices. In the mouth, this wine unfolds a rich, enveloping palate with a supple texture, structured by tannins of great finesse stretched onto a tight frame. A very nice Languedoc wine that can be aged until 2024-2026.
