Chambertin is one of the nine Grand Cru appellations in the Côte de Nuits. The 13-hectare vineyard is located in the Gevrey-Chambertin commune. The Chambertin terroirs are very diversified with the top of the hillside consisting of brown soil, silt and scree while the slope benefits from clay-limestone soil. The Chambertin appellation only produces red Pinot Noir wines, which have excellent ageing potential. They are elegant, powerful, rich and complex.
