Wine Advocate-Parker :
From a single Grand Cru plot of four hectares in Ay, Bollinger's 2014 La Côte aux Enfants displays a medium-intense purple-ruby color and a clear, delicate, purely fruity bouquet of dark cherries and just-ripe black berries. After a while in the glass, aromas of red berries, dark spices, toast and some floral notes also appear on the bouquet. Medium-bodied, fresh and very elegant on the palate, it is provided with a silky texture and clear, aromatic cherry and dark berry fruit, with a stunningly intense and powerful finish. With 12% alcohol and 100% Pinot Noir, this is a filigreed red Coteaux Champenois that is fabulous in its lightness, purity and elegance. Aged for eight months in small oak barrels, this is a very charming yet still young Pinot Noir with fresh and peppery basil flavors in the aftertaste. The 2014 should have very good aging potential and will most likely gain more open and sweet fruit over the years in the bottle. If you choose to enjoy the wine today, please let it breath for several hours. Tasted May 2018.
