Born under favourable weather conditions lasting all the way through the harvest, this 2009 vintage undeniably conveys the full expression of the terroir and an abundance of aromas. With 68% Pinot Noir and 32% Chardonnay, this superb blend truly reflects Bollinger’s style.  Bollinger Spectre Limited Edition shows character and elegance reminiscent of the famous British secret agent. This grand champagne exhibits a deep gold hue, a testimony to the maturity of the grapes, and Bollinger’s unique crafting skills. The nose is refined and complex and reflects Grand Cru wines as well as glorious terroirs. The subtle bouquet holds white flowers, citrus, lightly wooded candied pear, along with hints of vanilla, toasted aromas, hazelnut, and breadcrumbs. The palate shows maturity while remaining brisk and lively. Flavours move through candied fruit, Mirabelle plum, quince paste, and honey with a finish indicative of bitter orange.
